My Friend, My Dog
He has walked many a mile with
me
From head to tail - a friend
is he
With shaggy paws and sticks to
throw
A lick on the hand and so it
goes
Chewed up slippers and doggie
tugs
Pats on the head and tummy rubs
Leaps and licks and loyal heart
Muzzle scratched and paws apart
Eyes alert he sits and begs
Cold black nose and nodding head
He wags his tail and begs to
play
A quiet rest at days long end
Lies my dog...
My Pal...My
Friend.
