Behavior problems are currently the #1 cause of canine death in the U.S. today. It is our goal to eradicate this most deadly disease by instructing dog owners on how to properly raise and train a puppy or new adult dog before the behavior is so bad that a "home in the country" or euthanasia become the only alternatives.

          The training academy has several experienced trainers. The owner, Dr. Melodie Limpach (far left), who has been training competitively since 1976, holds a degree in veterinary medicine and has special training in ethology - the study of animal behavior.

(Vaccination requirements: current Rabies, annual Distemper with Lepto Combination, annual Bordatella, and at least an annual Intestinal Parasite Screening. These requirements are for the safety of all pets and owners, as some disease CAN BE transmitted to humans!)

      Modular Program:

        This newer addition to the Academy has been able to help many owners work on the issues they are having without having to dedicate themselves to a weekly class! Weekly Schedules are posted online and are set up for the month. Passes are available to help lower session rates. Whether you want to work on a few modules, or even just want a continuing education, this program can help. Some enrollment restrictions may apply. If you have any questions, please contact us!

    Any additional training equipment that is needed will be discussed at each session, but in general: a flat collar (nylon, leather, or martingale style is fine), a 5-6ft leash (leather is recommended), a bait bag (many colors and designs available for purchase), treats (cut to about the size of a peanut M&M), clicker (comes with Clicker 101-102 module, or available for purchase), and one of your dog's favorite toys (tug, ball squeaker toy, etc).
